Graves scattered all over the hillside. It wasn't well maintained but it wasn't bad.
I found a wrought iron fenced area. There were two graves in it. The stone had fallen but it was a large monument. I could only read one side of it.
Salt lick is in Bath County.

A copy of this recording was put on the Bath Co. archives in July 2001. Listed in the recording of the Upper Salt Lick Cemetery, Bath Co, KY., was the names of John Y. Dennis and his daughter Mary Y. Igo, with the transcriptions of age at death and death dates.
John Y. Dennis, inscription:
Death date, 12 Jan 1879. Age 77 yrs, 10 mos., 17 days.
This is why no stone nor record of death have been found for John Y. Dennis, in Saline Co, MO. Other family members are recorded in cemeteries in MO., but not John Y. Dennis. For some reason he came back to KY., and died while in Bath Co.
John Yocum Dennis, married Sarah Pergram, on Oct 27, 1829, in Bath Co, KY. From Early Bath Co, marriage records.
In Dec 2009 I found the graves of John Y Dennis and his daughter Mary Y (Dennis) Igo. In Aug 2010, I hired two men to remove the dirt from the large stone, showing the name of John Y. Dennis. He shares the stone with his daughter, Mary Y Igo.
