- The name of Mark's wife was Elizabeth, her surname being unknown. They were the parents of one child: "satisfactory evidence was adduced to the court showing that Sally Collins, wife of Edmund Collins, late Sally Kenton, is the heir-at-law and only child of Mark Kenton, deceased, and it was also proven to the court that the said Mark Kenton was a commissioned officer, but of what grade not ascertained, and that he served at least five years, and was discharged at the close of the Revolutionary War and that he died in the year 1785 all of which is ordered to be certified to the Secretary of War" (Mason County, Kentucky Court Record - Order Book J, Page 193 - June Court, 1821)
