- This information was sent to me by Ann Tennis Fraiser before her death. Ann listed Joseph b 1785, and a brother James b. 1805 and a sister Ellen (date unknown) with unknown parents in Elizabeth City County, VA. The large gap in the birth date quoted for Joseph and that of James leaves open the question of a possible father son relation.
Since at least two of [AH] Abraham [b, ca, 1676] grandson of John Tennison ,Sr.[ b. 1631 Holland ] had children relocated to the same area of VA it is very likely that this is part of our family. Abraham's line did have a son and grandson[b. 1775]. named Joseph which makes it even more confusing, There are several males in Abraham's family that we do not know the descendants of.
For the time being I will present the three Joseph b, 1785, James b, 1805 and Ellen as children of the unknown TENNIS with the prefix VA for Virginia.
