The Hiram Tennyson, of Rutherford Co., TN that died in Cannon Co., TN on 24 June 1842 was known as "Colonel Hiram Tennyson". [Ref. Rick Tidewell]
We have two different men that this could apply to but this one is more likely the base candidate.
